Woods Hole Group performed an Environmental Baseline Study offshore Myanmar. The project consisted of sampling and analyzing seawater, sediment, and benthic fauna collected offshore in 200 meters of water in a location where the client was proposing to drill for oil. Along the proposed pipeline to the shore, phytoplankton and zooplankton were also sampled and analyzed. A creel survey in the villages surrounding the area where the proposed pipeline comes ashore was performed.
